Head of Content - Programming & Production

We’re looking for a creative storyteller with a passion for mindfulness, health and wellness to lead INSCAPE’s content division, developing innovative, original modern wellness content for our app and studio.

This role will own the strategy to build and deliver a content roadmap and manage production of our signature content library.

Responsibilities:

Programming

  • Work with management team to build a content roadmap for maintaining and expanding the content library.
  • Help to develop our editorial “voice” with consistency across platforms.
  • Drive the ideation and design of audio and text-based content that provides a compelling and engaging experience for our users.
  • Coordinate new product releases for App & Studio - Messaging, strategy, demos, content premiers, etc.
  • Work with marketing team to create and deliver content to be used in online and offline marketing.
  • Recommend seasonal content highlights and content suitable for various promotions.
  • Build programs to offer via app & studio (7 day challenges, Mindful Mondays, etc.)
  • Work with Head of Partnerships to recommend content for new initiatives
  • Advise on opportunities to white label content, collaborate with outside partners

Production

  • Produce and manage the Inscape Content library for Studio and App.
  • Project manage content production workflow and timeline.
  • Track and maintain content budgets, optimizing for efficiency and ROI.
  • Develop and reinforce quality standards along the production pipeline. Execute seamlessly to ensure deadlines are met and projects are on budget.
  • Manage content team (in house team and outside contractors) for an efficient workflow.
  • Source and manage relationships with independent contractors including script writers, copy writers, musicians, teachers, etc.
  • Negotiate and manage all licensing agreements for teachers, musicians and artists.
  • Keep current on new talent in the field for future partnerships and collaborations.
  • Ensure all content is available in the correct formats to be delivered on our various platforms.
  • Host demo session for testing new content and compiling feedback into actionable lists.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated ability to create compelling audio, written, and/or visual content for an app, media, or related business.
  • An understanding of what makes exceptional content across multiple formats and experience working with each of these in some capacity (audio, articles, video).
  • Expertise in developing and executing an editorial strategy and content plan.
  • You must be proactive, entrepreneurial and assertive, with a desire to make a real impact in a growing company. Previous experience working in a startup environment would be beneficial.
  • You should be process-driven with a natural inclination to optimize and iterate where needed, with a focus on efficiency. * You must also be highly adaptable and agile, and approach all new challenges with a positive and can-do attitude.
  • You should embrace data and have the ability to analyze and make content decisions based on the conclusions you reach. You should have an aptitude for web analytics, including experience with Google Analytics or other related software
  • You should have an eye for talent, and experience recruiting for and building great teams.
  • Superb management, organizational and people skills.
  • Exceptional communications skills, both written and verbal.
  • A fervent interest in meditation, health and wellness and tech, you keep abreast of all developments within these and related spaces.
  • Ability to write, formulate and tell a compelling and differentiated story. Some editorial writing experience preferred.

Studio Director

The Studio Director is responsible for the setting the tone in the studio space and delivering a high touch customer experience. This role involves taking ownership of the whole studio experience, and making sure it is a friendly, engaging environment for anyone who enters. It also includes being a representative of the company, responding to customer’s queries, and managing studio staff, administration and KPIs. Enthusiasm, excellent customer service, strong retail management experience and flexibility are key. The right candidate will have an innate marketing sense to build community connection and engagement.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the day to day operations of the studio ensuring all aspects of the studio and staff are on brand, maintaining a welcoming and high vibration experience
  • Accountability for studio budgets and operating costs
  • Analyze financial performance and key metrics.
  • Develop regular action plans to drive business and achieve financial goals
  • Develop class scheduling & programming in collaboration with corporate team
  • Manage studio staff including staff training, schedules, time sheets and payroll
  • Evaluate and respond to all customer concerns and questions in a timely and caring way
  • Build local community connections and partnerships
  • Execute marketing initiatives and special events within the studio
  • Manage inventory and sales of merchandise
  • Any other tasks that include the overall responsibility of keeping the studio running at the standard expected by HQ

Requirements:

  • Hospitality, Fitness studio and/or Retail management experience (5+ years is ideal)
  • Superior communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong management skills in training, mentoring and motivating employees
  • Graceful response under pressure, excellent customer service, and high aesthetic standards
  • A passion for Health and Wellness
  • Financial acumen specific to a brick and mortar business, including but not limited to managing a P&L and payroll
  • Proficient knowledge on how to use MindBody Online a plus

Studio Team Member

The Studio Team role is aimed at candidates who wish to be involved in all areas of Inscape. The role involves welcoming and engaging studio guests, facilitating meditation sessions, maintaining a clean and orderly space, selling products and services, and making sure the studio is a friendly, engaging environment for anyone who enters.

Enthusiasm, excellent customer service, strong retail experience, and flexibility are key. The ideal candidate loves being involved with customers, is a thoughtful and energetic team player with a positive attitude, and takes initiative to ensure the studio runs efficiently and effectively.

Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate meditation & relaxation sessions: This includes creating a welcoming space for all guests, hosting the session, demonstrating movement & breathing exercises, maintaining a calm environment and offering guidance and support for a guest’s mediation practice.
  • Front of house: Welcome and check guests into sessions, overseeing all guest accounts, notes, purchases, etc.
  • Uphold impeccable customer services standards; anticipating guests needs and going above and beyond to deliver.
  • Drive sales of products and services in alignment with company sales goals. Be knowledgeable about products, programs and pricing and actively promote to all visitors.
  • Take active ownership of the space. Maintain a pristine and welcoming studio aesthetic: clean and organize common areas, studio rooms, and restrooms.

Requirements:

  • Strong daily meditation practice, interest in promoting health and wellness, any teaching experience will be a plus.
  • Boutique fitness/ yoga studio and/or retail experience.
  • Excellent customer service skills and experience resolving employee and/or customer conflicts in a positive, professional and timely manner.
  • Ability to represent all facets of the company and contribute to a sense of team camaraderie and inspiration.
  • Critical eye to maintain high aesthetic standards.
  • Strong team player who demonstrates flexibility, punctuality and can respond quickly and effectively under pressure.
  • Proficient knowledge on how to use MindBodyOnline is a plus.

Manager, Marketing and Partnerships

We’re hiring a Manager, Marketing and Partnerships to lead the growth of our brand for our studio and app businesses. The ideal candidate is experienced in managing relationships with brands and agencies and will be responsible for driving sales by developing partnerships and marketing programs. This role will be responsible for building out marketing, partnerships and event sales strategy, roadmap, and brand synergies.

Responsibilities

  • Leverage relationships and contacts to develop partnerships with Fortune 1000 brands for corporate wellness programs, private event sales, partnerships and co-marketing.
  • Spearhead corporate wellness program creation - create collateral, conceptualize pitch angles, compile targets, execute outreach; goal: companies book monthly/bi-monthly events for employees
  • Work with management to develop and meet quarterly revenue targets across studio, retail, and app.
  • Manage calendar of weekly and monthly educational, guest appreciation and lead generating events with outside speakers, brand partners and existing vendors.
  • Ensure partner retention through deep understanding of their needs and supporting them by collaborating with the studio operations and product development teams.
  • Plan and execute email marketing campaigns including newsletters and promotions.
  • Develop localized partnerships with complementary wellness and lifestyle brands to co-market / drive new acquisition.
  • Partner with Head of Studio and buyer to disseminate product knowledge to sales team; negotiate buying terms and co-op marketing, so as to grow retail revenue; align retail promotions with overall marketing calendar.
  • Manage the development of creative assets for sales collateral, pitch decks, etc.
  • Track and maintain budgets, optimizing for efficiency and ROI.
  • Analyze performance metrics and develop comprehensive reporting on marketing and sales growth.

Requirements

  • 6+ years experience in a marketing and/or partnerships role ideally at a recognized wellness brand, agency, consumer business, startup, or hospitality company.
  • Relationships with decision makers at leading brands across a multitude of industries.
  • Background in business development, corporate partnership management.
  • Familiarity with marketing software and analytics platforms like Mailchimp, Google Analytics, etc.
  • Proven experience in managing productivity, ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated and a genuine desire to learn new skills.
  • Love for all things marketing and wellness; you continuously pursue knowledge and stay on top of trends.
  • Experience in the lifestyle or wellness space a huge plus, but not required.
  • Bachelors degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
